scherer-smallJayson Scherer is an experienced environmental, health and safety professional with over 20 years of experience.  Over his career he has gained a comprehensive background in developing, training and managing a diverse set of environmental health and safety compliance programs in both the public and private sectors ranging from manufacturing and foundries to academic organizations.  Jayson’s areas of expertise include: environmental, health, and safety compliance, OSHA inspections and abatement, violence prevention, emergency preparedness and response, physical security, workers compensation, risk assessment and management, hazardous waste management, energy conservation, and training.

In addition to personal experiences in creating and managing projects in these areas, Jayson is also an Authorized OSHA 501 Instructor and has earned numerous other certifications including Confined Space Rescue Training, Emergency Coordinator Training, Violence Prevention, ServSafe Food Protection Certification, and Title IX Investigator Training.  Jayson is a University of Wisconsin – Whitewater alum.

Complimenting these qualifications, and adding a unique perspective to his work, Jayson is Wisconsin Firefighter Certified (Levels 1 & 2), served and held leadership positions on volunteer fire departments and has lived abroad.

He also has had human resources and facilities management responsibilities.  With these comprehensive set of experiences, Jayson can offer a balanced approach to meet your specific needs.


dana-smallDana Lephardt is a Safety Consultant with over 10 years of environmental, health, and safety experience in both the public and private sectors. Dana began her career within the public sector as an Agricultural Inspector for the FDA wherein she conducted audits, documented violation abatement, and provided guidance on regulatory requirements. Dana then entered the private sector within food manufacturing and progressed through a variety of roles including Quality Manager, EHS Manager, and Regional EHS Manager. Among her many achievements within these roles, Dana led the design and implementation of safety programs that reduced TRIR and LTIR by 50% and 75%, respectively, directly leading to a $300,000 cost savings in worker’s compensation and lost time within a two-year period.

As a seasoned safety professional, Dana specializes in developing and implementing effective policies and procedures to ensure workplace safety. Her extensive experience in risk analysis, incident investigation, employee training, process safety management of highly hazardous chemicals paired with her deep understanding of safety culture, make her an invaluable asset to any organization prioritizing employee well-being. She excels at working collaboratively to help teams understand EHS requirements and helping employers/employees engage in safety.

Dana earned a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota. As part of her continuing education, Dana holds the following certifications: Occupation Hearing Conservationist, Emergency Medical Responder, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), ISO 9001:2018 Internal Auditor, and OSHA 30.
